Construction of the Pattullo Bridge replacement is progressing with all of the on-land foundations, the bridge tower
and bridge foundation near the New Westminster shoreline now complete.
Crews are now constructing the bridge deck across the Fraser River. To complete this work, gantry cranes on top of
the bridge deck are being used to lift steel girders and concrete deck panels into place from above the Fraser River.
While this method of construction significantly reduces interferences to marine navigation, occasional short-term
restrictions of the navigation channels will be required to ensure public safety.
